How did they get created?
The ancient myths were not created like nowaday's stories and fables. But even like our quick writes or whatever we have to do, we have prompts to motivate us to write. The myths would be prompted just like what prompts us like fictional stories that they have heard, non-fictional stories, dreams, revelations, and many other things. The ancient myths were never created by individuals. Sadly, the same thing happens with myths as it does with creatures. The myth is told by one person and then is passed onto another but is twisted so we never actually get to here the true story that the people in ancient civilizations created.
E.g. Bob was wondering why mushrooms grow. Later that night, he had a crazy dream that there was a god and (I'm not going to invent a whole entire myth but I'll mention the big points and let's just say that he had an interesting life) "Chuck" was the god of nature/mushrooms. Then he would tell Fred that he had an amazing discovery last night! He found out why mushrooms grew by believing in his myth. Then Fred would brag to Joe that he knew why mushrooms grew except he would twist the truth a little bit like adding a part where Hi almost gets hurt or when Hi gets awarded for doing something. Then Joe tells George and twists the story around from what Fred told him. Then George would tell someone and twist the myth around. You get the point.
